What You’ll Do

  • Provide financial guidance and advice to support departmental strategies and resource utilization
  • Develop and implement financial management policies and procedures
  • Conduct monthly reporting on project finances and oversee accounting management services
  • Facilitate medium and long-term financial planning aligned with budgetary processes
  • Guide program managers on budget allocations and monitor expenditure trends
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal audit recommendations
  • Manage supply chain and asset management services within the department
  • Supervise financial accounting and salary administration services
  • Oversee the training and development of financial personnel

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in Finance or Accounting, with a postgraduate qualification being advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years’ senior management experience in financial matters
  • Valid driver’s license
  • In-depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and related financial legislation
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
