What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure satisfaction with municipal planning processes.
  • Promote the establishment and operational efficiency of municipal planning tribunals.
  • Ensure compliance and quality assurance in land development applications.
  • Coordinate administrative support for municipal planning tribunal meetings.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of municipal planning and appeal tribunals.
  • Conduct assessments and gather necessary information for land development applications.

What You’ll Need

  • Matric plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Development, Urban, Statutory, Town & Regional, or Built Environmental Planning, including Information Administration & Technology or a related field recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience at a supervisory level.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks, including the Public Service Act and Labour Relations Act.
  • Strong skills in people management, planning, and financial management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure, self-motivate, and pay attention to detail.
