What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the planning calendar and internal processes for the development and revision of the Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan.
  • Consolidate and quality-assure programme inputs to draft Strategic Plans and aligned operational plans.
  • Provide technical guidance to programmes and districts on formulating measurable indicators and targets aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Contribute to departmental visioning and strategic direction-setting, preparing technical inputs for strategic sessions.
  • Ensure alignment between strategic plans and municipal Integrated Development Plans by providing health-sector inputs to district processes.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus a Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Public Policy, Public Management, Development Studies, or Public Administration.
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., in Public Health) will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Strategic Planning and Monitoring and Evaluation mechanisms, as well as relevant public finance legislation.
  • Strong skills in facilitation, coordination, presentation, communication, and analytical problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with a valid driver’s license.
