What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee the revenue collection processes within the district.
- Ensure all revenue is accurately monitored, checked, and deposited according to policy.
- Authorize financial transactions, including captured batches and journals, ensuring documentation is complete.
- Review monthly revenue management reports to assess financial performance.
- Maintain effective systems for financial management and internal control.
- Facilitate resources, including financial, human, and physical, in line with relevant legislation.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage debts effectively.
- Implement sound budgeting practices and maintain budgetary control.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Financial Management, Accounting, or Management Accounting recognized by SAQA.
- Three to five years of experience in the Revenue Management field at a supervisory level or as a State Accountant.
- Valid driver’s license (exceptions apply for persons with disabilities).
- Knowledge of PFMA, DORA, and Treasury Regulations.
- Proficiency in the BAS system and strong computer literacy.
- Excellent people management, communication, and analytical skills.
