What You’ll Do
- Conduct various types of evidence-based research, including experimental and quasi-experimental designs, to assess policies and strategies.
- Undertake quantitative impact analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of crime prevention initiatives.
- Support research planning and contribute to the development of the Research Agenda.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of interviews, develop interview tools, and conduct literature reviews.
- Compile comprehensive research reports and develop evidence-based recommendations for projects.
- Coordinate research publication and dissemination processes, ensuring that findings reach relevant stakeholders.
- Manage fieldwork processes, collecting and analyzing data to inform future strategies.
- Collaborate with national and international research institutions on comparative studies.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Social Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a relevant field.
- A minimum of three years’ proven experience in conducting impact research.
- Proficiency in applying various research designs and methodologies, including advanced quantitative methods.
- Experience with research software such as SPSS, Stata, Python, and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings through reports and presentations effectively.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
