What You’ll Do

  • Manage the development and improvement of the college’s physical infrastructure.
  • Compile maintenance plans for machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure timely reporting to stakeholders regarding project progress.
  • Define project scope and objectives, predicting necessary resources.
  • Prepare budgets based on project requirements and track costs.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders about project strategies and adjustments.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Monitor project progress and measure performance for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate project governing meetings and ensure all team members fulfil their roles.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within building environments.

What You’ll Need

  • Matric/Grade 12 certificate and a recognized 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Building Management, Safety Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a relevant Engineering qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in facilities management, SHERQ, and OHS, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of TVET sector regulations, Public Service Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and facilities management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
