About the Role
The Department of National Treasury is looking for a dedicated Assistant Director: Program 2.1 Finance to join their team in Pretoria. What You’ll Do
- Implement financial revenue and expenditure management processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislative frameworks.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and processes.
- Prepare and submit financial reports and plans as required.
- Advise stakeholders on revenue and expenditure procedures.
- Identify risks within the finance unit and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate the preparation and management of budgets in compliance with National Treasury guidelines.
- Oversee debt management, monitoring, and reporting services.
- Review monthly financial journals and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to resolve queries.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant 3-year National Diploma/Degree in Financial Management or Financial Accounting with at least 360 credits.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Finance Management Accounting.
- 2 years of supervisory or junior management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements for Retirement Funds in South Africa.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
