What You’ll Do

  • Manage and coordinate the operations of occupational therapy services within the hospital.
  • Ensure effective and cost-efficient management of departmental resources.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient care.
  • Provide strategic leadership to optimize service delivery in occupational therapy.
  • Facilitate training and development programs for staff and students.
  • Oversee supervision and performance evaluations of team members.
  • Implement quality assurance measures and maintain clinical governance.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding service delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification that allows for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Physiotherapist.
  • Current registration with HPCSA as a Physiotherapist (Independent Practice).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience as a Physiotherapist, with at least 5 years of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation protection, and quality assurance.
  • Competence in computer applications, including MS Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with effective interpersonal abilities.
  • Understanding of public hospital operations and relevant Health and Safety Acts.
