What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the operational planning calendar and templates for the Department’s Annual Operational Plans.
  • Facilitate the translation of strategic priorities into actionable plans and activities.
  • Support integration with resource planning, addressing human resource implications.
  • Monitor and review implementation progress, identifying bottlenecks and areas requiring management action.
  • Compile analytical reports on planning and implementation for management structures.
  • Maintain planning tools and ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Align departmental priorities with municipal Integrated Development Plans, translating health commitments into implementable actions.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus a Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in relevant fields such as Public Administration or Project Management.
  • A postgraduate qualification in areas like Public Health or Programme Management will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, and relevant public service regulations.
  • Strong skills in facilitation, communication, report writing, and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
