The Provincial Treasury in Cape Town is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Director: Normative Financial Compliance. What You’ll Do
- Research and develop financial governance norms and standards.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Maintain and implement the Financial Management Capacity Maturity Model.
- Roll out and update the Governance Framework based on environmental needs.
- Conduct annual analysis and evaluation of audit outcomes and submit reports to Cabinet and SCOPA.
- Support institutions with the implementation of the governance framework.
- Manage projects effectively to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate 3-year B-degree (equivalent or higher) in Finance or Economics.
- A minimum of 3 years of public sector finance experience with a solid understanding of PFMA and Treasury regulations.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures relating to financial legislation.
- Familiarity with norms and standards (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, and directives from National and Provincial Treasury.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in report writing.
- Analytical thinking skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
