What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the resolution of grievances and disputes within the department.
- Investigate and conduct disciplinary hearings, serving as chairperson for misconduct cases.
- Conduct training and capacity building on labour relations for staff.
- Compile and submit comprehensive Labour Relations reports.
- Represent the department in relevant structures and forums.
- Advise management on various Labour Relations issues and strategies.
- Manage the performance of personnel within the Labour Relations unit.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate plus a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF-7) or National Diploma (NQF-6) in Labour Relations, Labour Law, or Industrial Relations.
- A valid driver’s license.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in Labour Relations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of Labour legislation, Public Service policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Strong skills in conflict resolution, research, and policy development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
