What You’ll Do
- Provide support and advice on the implementation of the labour relations framework.
- Ensure prompt and effective handling of misconduct and dispute cases.
- Conduct investigations and compile detailed investigation reports.
- Draft charges of misconduct and prepare witnesses for disciplinary hearings.
- Represent the department in disciplinary hearings and arbitration processes.
- Facilitate grievance resolutions and provide guidance on labour relations matters.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on labour relations activities.
- Manage financial and human resources effectively.
What You’ll Need
- NQF level 6 in Labour Relations or relevant qualifications recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Labour Relations or a related field.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- In-depth knowledge of disciplinary codes, grievance procedures, mediation, and arbitration.
- Familiarity with public service legislation, the Labour Relations Act, and applicable policies.
- Strong conflict resolution, organizing, planning, and coordination skills.
- Exceptional report writing abilities and the capability to work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
