About the Role
The Provincial Manager’s Office is looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director: Investigations to join their dynamic team based in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, or Mpumalanga. What You’ll Do
- Draft comprehensive reports and provide recommendations based on investigation findings.
- Coordinate with the Directorate: Investigations on provincial activities related to investigations.
- Scrutinize information regarding corrupt activities by officials and outside syndicates.
- Facilitate and support mandated stakeholders in investigating crime and corruption.
- Open and manage files or dockets for various investigations.
- Develop and interpret statistical data on investigation cases.
- Monitor and maintain the intelligence management system in the province.
- Testify in disciplinary and criminal proceedings when required.
- Facilitate the development and enforcement of related policies and procedures.
- Conduct training and awareness programs on hotline and disciplinary policies for employees and management.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Law, Criminal Justice, Forensic Investigation, or Policing at NQF level 6, as recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a supervisory level in an investigation environment.
- Strong knowledge of South African legislation and public service frameworks.
- Familiarity with Minimum Information Security Standards and Anti-corruption Framework.
- Excellent skills in communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and work extended hours.
