What You’ll Do
- Execute audit operations in accordance with established audit standards.
- Participate in the development of strategic risk-based audit plans and annual operational plans.
- Prepare comprehensive Audit Planning Memoranda to guide audit processes.
- Formulate audit programs based on preliminary survey outcomes to address identified risks.
- Develop audit questionnaires tailored to various audit areas and identified risks.
- Provide support for the Teammate audit management software and facilitate Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAAT’s).
- Manage audit procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Oversee the effective management of human, physical, and financial resources within the unit.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Internal Auditing at NQF level 6.
- A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory or junior management experience in an internal auditing environment.
- Knowledge of relevant South African legislation, including the Constitution, Public Finance Management Act, and audit standards.
- Functional knowledge of data analysis software such as ACL Analytics or Arbutus.
- Excellent project management skills and experience in using online systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on client orientation and problem-solving abilities.
- A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel and work extended hours.
