What You’ll Do
- Render ICT infrastructure services, including the installation and configuration of computers, laptops, and printers.
- Provide first-line support to users in collaboration with contracted service providers.
- Maintain computer equipment, servers, storage, and network devices, ensuring optimal functioning.
- Oversee new IT projects and manage the processing of orders and invoices for the directorate.
- Update and standardize software across the network, including antivirus management and patch installations.
- Manage and maintain network systems, including switches, routers, and security devices, ensuring robust connectivity.
- Develop and implement a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) to safeguard ICT assets.
- Maintain an electronic ICT asset register and oversee the disposal of redundant infrastructure.
- Offer guidance on budgeting for ICT services and manage the performance and development of unit staff.
What You’ll Need
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in Information Communication & Technology Systems.
- A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Office Suites, networks, and relevant legislation governing ICT in South Africa.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proven ability in team leadership, financial management, and customer service.
