About the Role
The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director: Human Resource Management to join its team at the Provincial Office in Mmabatho, North West. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the implementation of critical Human Resource Management policies that affect the workforce across the province. This position plays a vital part in fostering a healthy work environment and ensuring that policies are adhered to, directly impacting the community’s well-being and public service quality.

What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the implementation and adherence to Human Resource Management policies.
- Provide guidance on Employee Relations policies and ensure compliance with relevant prescripts.
- Manage and oversee Employment Equity programmes to promote diversity and inclusion.
- Monitor the administration of service benefits for employees.
- Manage resources, including human, financial, and equipment/assets, within the Sub-directorate.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Human Resource Management, Public Management, or Employee Relations at NQF Level 6 as recognized by SAQA.
- A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of four years of experience in Human Resource Management, with at least two years at a Senior Practitioner level.
- Comprehensive knowledge of public service transformation, Human Resource Systems, and relevant legislation.
- Strong communication, computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PERSAL), and time management skills.
