What You’ll Do

  • Manage human capital within the college to ensure effective HR operations.
  • Develop and implement human resource strategies and policies.
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection processes to attract top talent.
  • Oversee performance management, leave administration, and staff establishment.
  • Manage human resources development programs and training interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with HR legislative frameworks and departmental guidelines.
  • Provide strategic HR advice and support to management and staff.
  • Supervise and nurture HR staff for high performance and effective service delivery.
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Promote sound labour practices and a positive organizational culture.
  • Introduce health and wellness programs for staff within the college.
  • Draft and manage the human resources budget.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Human Resource Management/Development or a related qualification.
  • A minimum of three to five years of relevant supervisory experience in a Human Resource Management environment.
  • Knowledge of the Continuing Education Act, Public Service Regulations, and Public Service Act.
  • Extensive experience with employee benefits, recruitment, and staff establishment processes.
  • Understanding of Human Resources Development and Performance Management procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of labour legislation and public service policies.
  • Proficiency in PERSAL systems and human resources reporting.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
