The Mangaung Metro District is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team as an Assistant Director: Financial Accounting. What You’ll Do
- Collect and record revenue through various channels including cashiering and electronic payments
- Manage debts and monitor revenue streams, providing regular reports
- Oversee expenditure management related to employee compensation, goods and services, and transfers
- Supervise and lead employees to ensure effective financial accounting services
- Develop and implement work systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency
- Conduct performance management, including training and development of team members
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices
What You’ll Need
- A degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Financial Management (NQF level 7)
- At least 3 years of relevant supervisory experience in Financial Accounting
- Strong knowledge of the legal framework, including the PFMA and Treasury Regulations
- Proficiency in computer literacy with good communication and management skills
- Attributes such as good interpersonal relations, assertiveness, and integrity
- Ability to work under pressure with strong problem-solving skills
