What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Directorate.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing documents efficiently.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including taking minutes and distributing documents.
  • Assist in preparing monthly reports and presentations as required.
  • Maintain the asset register and leave register for the Directorate.
  • Handle telephone accounts and manage hydrological data administration.
  • Update information on the OSIRIS database and assist with data capturing on HYDSTRA.
  • Provide financial administrative support, including processing claims and invoices.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for procurement needs.
  • Ensure accuracy in subsistence and travel claims and assist with document logistics.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior/Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Previous administrative experience is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of Batho Pele Principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of clerical functions and data capturing.
  • Insight into Human Resources prescripts and public service legislative frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to client orientation and ethical conduct.
