What You’ll Do
- Implement and manage financial systems in compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and relevant regulations.
- Prepare and maintain bank reconciliation statements, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Develop and manage the hospital’s budget processes alongside hospital management and stakeholders.
- Enhance supply chain management compliance to align with public sector regulations.
- Optimize revenue collection through the development and monitoring of strategic measures.
- Manage the institutional fleet and oversee the maintenance and repairs of infrastructure and buildings.
- Ensure efficient processing of payments for goods, services, and employee compensation.
- Reconcile ledger accounts and maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Identify and implement internal controls to prevent unauthorized expenditure.
- Supervise finance staff and perform related administrative functions to ensure sound financial management.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus a Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Finance, Financial Management, or Accounting recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of three years of managerial experience (Level 7/8) within a finance environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of public sector financial legislation, particularly PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Basic Accounting System (BAS).
- Strong analytical skills and practical knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- A valid driver’s license.
