What You’ll Do
- Process permit applications for the movement of conventional arms in line with legislation.
- Administer the application and approval process for issuing permits.
- Validate applications and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor the submission of export confirmation documents and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate the efficient processing of permits.
- Uphold the principles of Batho Pele in every interaction and decision made.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
- Recognized Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in Law, Public Management, Public Administration, or a relevant qualification (NQF Level 7).
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in Arms Control or Administration.
- Knowledge of Public Service Act, Regulations, and relevant departmental policies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical thinking.
- Good computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
