What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of enterprise development policies and strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate programmes executed by sector departments and municipalities for MSMEs.
  • Develop and oversee marketing programmes tailored for MSMEs.
  • Facilitate initiatives that reduce barriers and enhance the business environment for local entrepreneurs.
  • Collaborate with partners to drive the Local Economic Development (LED) programme effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with the LED policy framework to strengthen local economic initiatives.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF Level 6 qualification in Local Economic Development, Development Studies, Business Management, Integrated Organisational Communication, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Between three to five years of experience in the Enterprise Development field at a supervisory level.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for candidates with disabilities).
  • In-depth knowledge of Local Economic Development and current trends in Economic Development.
  • Strong understanding of the legislative framework governing Public Services.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and project management.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective people management and leadership skills.
  • Strong client orientation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
