What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee funding support for youth training programmes in alignment with the Western Cape Safety Plan.
- Coordinate partnerships to facilitate the training and deployment of safety and security personnel.
- Provide administrative support to management, ensuring efficient operations.
- Facilitate the alignment, monitoring, and reporting of all activities related to the implementation of the Safety Plan.
- Perform managerial duties to enhance the effectiveness of the department’s initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree (equivalent or higher).
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of legislation, regulatory frameworks, and policies impacting public service.
- Familiarity with project management and operational management practices.
- Understanding of financial management processes and public finance regulations.
- Strong skills in numeracy, computer literacy, and project management.

Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.Competencies: Working knowledge of the following: Legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices that have a bearing on the line functions; Information systems that aid in the management of knowledge and information pertaining to the line function; Project management; Operational management practices; Procurement and tendering processes; policy development, and operational management, monitoring and review processes; Modern systems of governance and administration; Public service procedures, processes and systems; Regional and local political, economic and social affairs impacting on the provincial government of the Western Cape; Constitutional, legal and institutional arrangements governing the South African public sector; Public finance, human resources and discourse management processes; Public Finance Management Act, National and Provincial Treasury Regulations, other financial policies, prescripts, directives and collective agreements; Functioning of the Province and the activities of sister departments/related functional areas; Policies of the government of the day; Labour Relations legislation and regulations; Performance management in general.
