What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and review the procurement needs of the department in line with the Supply Chain Strategy.
- Conduct research and analysis to develop proposals for effective procurement implementation.
- Ensure compliance with quality requirements and adherence to procurement processes.
- Collaborate with various role players to gather information for the annual procurement plan.
- Oversee the administration of Bid Specification Committees and ensure effective communication during the procurement process.
- Compile and publish requests for proposals and maintain an updated supplier database.
- Supervise subordinate employees and ensure quality assurance of procurement-related tasks.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Relevant working experience in Supply Chain Management at a supervisory level.
- In-depth knowledge of government procurement systems and legislation related to Supply Chain Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with advanced interpersonal abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, capable of working under pressure.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
