The Department of Education is looking for a committed and skilled individual to join the team as the Assistant Director: Curriculum Implementation at Port Elizabeth TVET College. What You’ll Do
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of academic and curriculum policies.
- Support the introduction of new programs and qualifications to enhance the National Curriculum.
- Coordinate updates on policy revisions in alignment with SAQA guidelines.
- Manage the review and application of ICASS guidelines for assessments.
- Collaborate with campus managers to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
- Provide ongoing support and academic management services to lecturing staff.
- Assist with student admissions and ensure enrolment targets are met.
- Facilitate career guidance to help students make informed choices.
- Analyze academic results and develop intervention plans for critical subjects.
- Ensure the provision of appropriate learning materials for effective teaching.
What You’ll Need
- Relevant Senior Certificate / Grade 12 / NCV Certificate (Level 4).
- A recognised three-year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Degree in Education or a related field.
- A minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience in an education environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the PSET and CET Acts, teaching methodologies, and relevant regulations.
- Strong administrative, planning, and organisational skills.
- Proven abilities in financial and project management, report writing, and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and experience in team leadership.
