What You’ll Do
- Manage and coordinate the evaluation of the approved budgets for Public Ordinary Schools and hostels.
- Ensure timely notifications and reminders are sent to schools for budget submission.
- Evaluate the Annual Financial Statements for all public schools within the education district.
- Provide feedback on evaluations to School Governing Bodies (SGB), Circuit Managers, and school management.
- Maintain and update the Red-flag database and ensure documentation is accurately recorded within the electronic content management system.
- Conduct pre-forensic investigations into financial-related allegations and irregularities.
- Compile reports with findings and recommendations for submission to relevant authorities.
- Participate in staff recruitment and provide training and motivation to enhance team performance.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) and a three-year post-matric qualification in audit or financial management.
- A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in financial administration.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and related regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and conceptualise financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and financial software systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
