What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement compliance management strategies and processes.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and ongoing monitoring activities.
- Provide training and develop resources to enhance compliance awareness among employees.
- Update the Departmental Compliance universe regularly to reflect changes in regulations.
- Assist in compiling the annual compliance management implementation plan.
- Participate in advisory committees focused on compliance risk management.
- Align compliance checklists with the department’s strategic and operational plans.
- Conduct compliance assessments according to established procedures.
- Research best practices in compliance and contribute to improving departmental methodologies.
- Communicate compliance standards and methodologies effectively across the organization.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 Certificate and National Diploma in Internal Auditing, Financial Management, Law, or Risk Management.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in compliance management.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, Public Financial Management Act, and relevant legislation.
- Dynamic leadership skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work under pressure and extended hours when necessary.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
