What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the conceptualisation and design of multimedia communication products.
- Create newsletters, brochures, and publications for various stakeholders.
- Manage the design and content for the departmental website and social media platforms.
- Align departmental publications with the corporate identity and mandates.
- Develop and implement the Communication Action Plan (CAP), ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
- Source and review strategic documents, including policy speeches.
- Organise and package information for events related to Traditional and Khoi-San leadership.
- Write articles and conduct interviews to promote departmental events.
- Monitor the communication forum events calendar and manage allocated resources.
- Support team development through guidance, training, and performance management.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate and an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, Journalism, or Graphic Design.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience at a supervisory level within the communication environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license (Code EB) and willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
- Video production and editing skills will be considered an added advantage.
