What You’ll Do
- Manage the acquisition process effectively to ensure compliance with procurement policies.
- Attend and advise during Bid Specification Committee (BSC) and Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC) meetings.
- Provide secretariat support to the BSC and BEC, compiling submissions and reports.
- Administer contract compliance and facilitate the finalisation of contracts/SLA in consultation with Legal Services.
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers and service providers, maintaining open communication regarding contract status.
- Update the Commitment Register and ensure proper record-keeping of all contracts and relevant documentation.
- Respond to audit findings and support the Deputy Director in the Bid Adjudication Committee (BAC) activities.
- Engage in performance development and management of staff under your supervision.
What You’ll Need
- A three-year relevant post-matric qualification (NQF level 6) in fields such as Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, particularly in Bids and Acquisition Management.
- Knowledge of procurement policies, regulations, and legislation governing Bids Administration and Acquisitions Management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications and BAS.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating good interpersonal relations and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent numeric skills are essential for this role.
