What You’ll Do
- Facilitate and oversee the processing of applications for amendments and rectifications of personal particulars recorded on the NPR.
- Ensure compliance with legislative prescripts, regulations, and departmental policies throughout the amendment and rectification processes.
- Implement quality assurance and verification controls to prevent errors and irregular amendments.
- Manage complex and sensitive amendment cases, coordinating effectively between front-office and back-office environments.
- Oversee the use of automated systems and digital platforms to maintain data integrity and enhance processing efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and performance reports on amendment transactions while escalating any irregularities to management.
- Engage with stakeholders and coordinate with intergovernmental bodies to ensure effective service delivery.
- Contribute to policy development and operational oversight while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Manage human, physical, and financial resources within the unit effectively.
- Coach and guide staff on best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Operations Management, Public Management, Administration, or Business Management at NQF Level 6 recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of three years’ experience as a Supervisor in operations within a client or customer services environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Births and Deaths Registration Act and relevant regulations.
- Familiarity with departmental legislation, public service regulations, and the South African Constitution.
- Understanding of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
- Valid driver’s license is advantageous; willingness to travel and work extended hours is required.
- Strong skills in strategic planning, service delivery innovation, people management, and financial management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
