What You’ll Do

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of AGSA audit findings and compile comprehensive reports.
  • Provide bespoke guidance and training to municipalities for improved financial practices.
  • Prepare analyses of Consolidated Management Reports to identify common issues for municipalities.
  • Assist municipalities in addressing issues from previous audits to reduce future findings.
  • Assess municipalities’ accounting processes using the Financial Management Capability and Maturity Model (FMCMM).
  • Engage with municipalities to discuss their current capabilities and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor the progress of municipalities in implementing governance action plans.
  • Encourage municipalities to perform self-assessments and develop standard operating procedures.

What You’ll Need

  • A 3-year B-degree or higher qualification in Accounting or Finance, with Auditing 3 as a major subject.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting environment.
  • A valid Code B or higher driving license.
  • Strong knowledge of Public Sector Finance, financial norms and standards, and accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting systems and reporting tools.
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and language skills.
