What You’ll Do

  • Develop and coordinate youth empowerment programs to enhance skills and opportunities for young individuals.
  • Implement outreach programs to engage and support the youth in the community.
  • Manage youth and women NPOs, ensuring they operate effectively and achieve their goals.
  • Formulate development policies and strategies aimed at promoting youth and women empowerment.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to foster community involvement and support for initiatives.
  • Conduct complex research to inform policy-making and program development.
  • Utilize problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to address community issues effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification at NQF 6 or equivalent in Development Studies, Diaconiology, Social Sciences, Community Development, Sociology, Anthropology, Population Studies, or Demography, recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in Community Development after obtaining the required qualification.
  • A valid motor vehicle driver’s licence (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of community development principles and legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and financial management.
  • Demonstrated ability in project management and human resource management.
  • Skills in policy formulation and implementation related to community development.
