What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and develop youth empowerment programs, including the National Youth Service (NYS) initiatives.
- Provide outreach programs tailored for youth, facilitating engagement and participation.
- Manage and support youth and women’s Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) to enhance their effectiveness and reach.
- Develop policies and strategies aimed at youth and women empowerment to promote sustainable community development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of community programs.
- Conduct research and evaluations to monitor the impact of programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate training and capacity-building workshops for community members and organizations.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification at NQF 6 or an equivalent qualification in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Community Development, or related fields as recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of eight (08) years’ relevant experience in Community Development after obtaining the required qualification.
- A valid motor vehicle driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Strong understanding of community dynamics, individual and group behavior, and relevant legislation.
- Proven ability to manage community development projects and structures effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, written and verbal communication, and financial management.
- Experience in project management and human resource management.
