What You’ll Do

  • Conduct capacity-building training for NPOs and specific sector programs
  • Facilitate the registration of NPOs in accordance with the NPO Act
  • Implement departmental special programs aimed at community development
  • Monitor compliance with relevant prescripts and regulations
  • Maintain and update the district database of NPOs

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification at NQF 6 or equivalent in Development Studies, Diaconiology, Social Sciences, Community Development, Sociology, Anthropology, Population Studies, or Demography as recognized by SAQA
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in Community Development post-qualification
  • Valid motor vehicle driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities)
  • Strong understanding of community dynamics and legislation
  • Proven ability to manage community development projects and structures
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Competence in financial management and project management
