What You’ll Do

  • Render technical design, production, operation, and maintenance services for hospital equipment and facilities.
  • Inspect equipment and facilities to identify any technical faults.
  • Repair and service equipment and facilities according to established standards and schedules.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Compile and submit detailed reports on maintenance and operational activities.
  • Provide input for operational planning and maintain job records.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Engage in continuous personal development to stay updated with new technologies and procedures.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12/Senior Certificate.
  • A valid Driver’s Licence.
  • A prescribed level of qualification as determined by the relevant trade, including a successful completion of a recognized trade test.
  • An appropriate trade test certificate in Electrical, Plumbing, Boiler Making, Air Conditioning, Fitting and Turning, or Painting.
  • Strong technical analysis skills and knowledge of legal compliance.
  • Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and adeptness in planning and organizing tasks.
