What You’ll Do

  • Design and supervise the production of maintenance tasks according to client specifications.
  • Ensure quality assurance of produced objects to meet recognized standards.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment for technical faults and perform necessary repairs.
  • Test and service equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.
  • Update maintenance and repair registers and compile necessary reports.
  • Provide inputs to operational plans and specifications for procurement.
  • Lead a team of artisans, planning resources and scheduling work effectively.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and procedures to enhance expertise.

What You’ll Need

  • Appropriate Trade Test Certificate recognized by SAQA.
  • Five years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan.
  • Valid driver’s license (note: exceptions apply for individuals with disabilities).
  • Strong leadership and technical analysis skills.
  • Proficient in computer-aided technical applications and technical report writing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication abilities.
  • Competence in planning, organizing, and conflict management.
