What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of workshop staff to ensure efficiency and quality of work
  • Conduct inspections and spot checks to identify technical faults requiring repairs or maintenance
  • Oversee procurement processes, including receiving quotations and purchasing necessary equipment and materials
  • Maintain updated maintenance and fault repair registers
  • Prepare detailed reports on workshop activities and performance
  • Identify training needs and manage staff leave and performance evaluations
  • Execute repairs for various faults as required

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of an appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Carpentry
  • At least five years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
  • Strong leadership and management abilities
  • Effective communication skills at an operational level
  • Computer literacy
