What You’ll Do

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on hospital equipment and buildings.
  • Ensure that all work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Assist skilled artisans with installation and repair projects.
  • Manage repair requisitions and maintain accurate records of repairs.
  • Support in ordering and controlling workshop materials and tools.
  • Train and develop staff while cleaning areas post-maintenance work.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum educational qualification: NQF 3 (Grade 10 or equivalent).
  • Relevant experience in maintenance and repairs, assisting artisans with upkeep.
  • Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence is essential.
  • Ability to perform standby duties and work overtime as required.
  • Must be physically fit to lift and load heavy items.
  • Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
  • Good communication skills and basic computer literacy.
  • Hands-on practical work experience with a strong attention to detail.
