What You’ll Do

  • Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of fleet vehicles.
  • Verify and process invoices related to transport services.
  • Control maintenance and expenditure for fleet usage.
  • Handle processing of subsistence and travel claims.
  • Manage traffic fines, accidents, and damages related to fleet vehicles.
  • Assist with applications for subsidised vehicles.
  • Ensure effective records management system for transport operations.
  • Ensure compliance with transport policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Contribute to interim and annual financial statements preparation.
  • Provide guidance on new transport policies and prescripts to fleet users.
  • Adapt to work schedules based on office requirements as instructed by supervisors.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport Management, Public Administration, or Public Management.
  • Extensive working experience in Transport Management.
  • Solid understanding of procurement policies and relevant regulations, including PFMA and PPPFA.
  • Proficiency in financial business systems such as LOGIS and BAS, as well as a thorough knowledge of SCOA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • A valid driver’s license and an ability to manage confidential information.
  • Strong customer relations skills, including report writing capabilities.
  • A hard-working, motivated attitude with the capacity to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of logistical processes and policies.
