About the Role
The Department of Transport is looking for a dedicated Administrative Officer: Provincial Transport Management to join their team at the Motor Transport Services in Pietermaritzburg. What You’ll Do
- Identify and assess risks related to finance and maintenance of subsidized vehicles.
- Prepare complex correspondence and presentations regarding fleet management.
- Coordinate activities to monitor compliance with transport policies and regulations.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops between Motor Transport Services, user departments, and service providers.
- Compile reports and documents that provide insight into fleet operations and compliance.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate/National Certificate (Vocational) NQF Level 4.
- A minimum of 3 years of fleet administrative experience.
- A valid driver’s licence (minimum code B).
- In-depth knowledge of fleet management principles and procurement legislation.
- Strong understanding of contract management and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, with the ability to compile meaningful reports.
