What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee debts owed to the department to ensure timely recovery.
- Maintain accurate records of all debt transactions and suspense accounts.
- Facilitate the submission of irrecoverable debts to the Chief Financial Officer for approval of write-offs.
- Supervise and support the development of staff within the financial management team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and departmental policies related to financial processes.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate or National Certificate (Vocational) NQF Level 4.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Debt Management.
- A valid driver’s license (Code B or higher).
- Knowledge of financial legislation, policies, and procedures, including PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
- Proficient in PERSAL and BAS systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy.
