What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate the procurement of goods and services through a formal tender process.
  • Provide secretarial support to Bid Committees, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Assist in organizing and executing tender/bid briefing sessions.
  • Compile bid documents and ensure compliance with Supply Chain Management (SCM) policies.
  • Monitor the validity period of closed tenders and assist in the coordination of the bidding process.
  • Prepare registers for bidders and check compliance with SCM prescripts.
  • Respond to queries during tender/bid briefing sessions and provide feedback on adjudicated submissions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all minutes, approved submissions, and relevant documentation.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Public Administration, or related fields.
  • Relevant working experience in a Supply Chain environment, particularly in Acquisition Management.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain policies, Treasury Regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise at various levels.
  • Good analytical, planning, organizing, conflict resolution, and financial management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage irregular hours effectively.
