What You’ll Do
- Provide effective and efficient patient administration services at the reception point.
- Assess and register new patients, ensuring all relevant transactions are completed accurately in the Clinicom system.
- Manage patient accounts, including billing and means testing, in accordance with hospital policies.
- Maintain sound cash management practices and record keeping for state monies.
- Handle telephonic and in-person inquiries regarding patient information.
- Collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and management to enhance service delivery.
- Perform filing, folder management, and various ad-hoc duties as required.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant experience in patient administration within a hospital setting.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Flexibility to rotate within admissions components based on operational demands.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with Clinicom is advantageous.
