What You’ll Do

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging examinations and produce high-quality images.
  • Write comprehensive reports following the prescribed protocols.
  • Work independently while also collaborating with healthcare teams.
  • Ensure compliance with the Radiation Control Board and HPCSA regulations.
  • Conduct equipment maintenance and manage monthly statistics in the ultrasound department.
  • Participate in staff and student development initiatives.
  • Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) as required.
  • Follow stringent infection control and safety guidelines.
  • Provide after-hours radiology services as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and a relevant qualification for HPCSA registration in Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology, or Mammography Radiography.
  • Current HPCSA registration in a relevant field, valid until 2026.
  • A minimum of four years of post-registration experience as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills to complete examinations efficiently.
  • In-depth understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with public service regulations, acts, and policies.
