What You’ll Do

  • Provide quality basic nursing care to patients in various wards.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene and mobility.
  • Support patients in maintaining their nutritional status.
  • Ensure the effective utilization of physical and financial resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and uphold ethical standards.
  • Be prepared to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Rotate to other wards and assist at clinics within the sub-district when required.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
  • For Grade 2, a minimum of 10 years of appropriate nursing experience after registration.
  • For Grade 3, a minimum of 20 years of appropriate nursing experience after registration.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-discipline and motivation to excel in a dynamic healthcare environment.
