What You’ll Do

  • Provide routine technical services, handling minor repairs in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Attend to heating, air conditioning, and fire systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Repair the water reticulation system, including fixing broken toilets, basins, and burst pipes.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and respond to maintenance requests from hospital staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop and surrounding areas.
  • Inspect and maintain electrical lighting and equipment, ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Manage the filling and storage of gas cylinders, replacing empty ones in wards as needed.
  • Unblock drains and ensure the sewerage system functions effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 3 qualification with at least 6 months of trade-related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of technical work and maintenance procedures.
  • A self-motivated and responsive attitude, with a positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with other hospital staff.
