What You’ll Do

  • Answer and direct incoming calls to the relevant sections or directorates.
  • Provide information about the services offered by the department.
  • Maintain a record of all incoming calls and assist in scanning.
  • Offer internal staff with telephone directory information as needed.
  • Provide secretarial services for sections when officials are unavailable.
  • Convey messages effectively within the department.
  • Supply the public with contact details for all Provincial and District Offices.
  • Ensure that the switchboard is consistently manned.
  • Deliver an efficient and effective telephone service to the department.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and computer literacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems effectively.
  • A customer service-oriented mindset with solid document management capabilities.

Requirements

The applicant must be in possession of a Senior Certificate or equivalent; Communication (written and verbal); Computer literacy (MS Office); Good interpersonal skills; Good public relations skills, Ability to work under pressure and to solve problems; Customer service and document management.

Job Duties

Salary

R237 453 per annum (Level 05)
