What You’ll Do

• Plan and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with various labour laws.
• Execute independent investigations on reported breaches of labour legislation.
• Prepare and present cases in court as a State witness when necessary.
• Conduct proactive inspections to monitor ongoing compliance with labour legislation.
• Lead advocacy campaigns to raise awareness about labour laws within the community.
• Contribute to the planning, drafting, and maintenance of regional inspection plans and reports.
• Analyze and compile consolidated statistical reports on regional and allocated cases.
• Supervise resources within the sub-section to ensure effective operations.

What You’ll Need

• National Diploma (NQF6) or Undergraduate Bachelor Degree (NQF7) in Labour Relations, Labour Law, LLB, or BCOM Law.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least two years of functional experience in Inspection and Enforcement Services.
• Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, labour legislation, and relevant acts.
• Strong skills in facilitation, planning, organization, and computer literacy.
• Excellent interpersonal, conflict handling, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
