The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development is seeking a dedicated State Law Advisor: Rules Board to join its National Office in Pretoria. What You’ll Do

• Conduct legal research, including comparative studies on court rules
• Draft memoranda and opinions related to rules of court
• Develop and submit new court rules and procedures to the rules board
• Review and facilitate amendments to existing court rules regularly
• Ensure compliance with approved amendments and new rules

What You’ll Need

• An NQF level 7 legal qualification or LLB Degree recognized by SAQA
• Minimum of five years of appropriate post-qualification litigation or advisory experience
• Admittance as an Attorney or Advocate
• Proven experience in legal research and drafting
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Constitution, Administrative Law, and the Criminal Justice System
• Familiarity with the Public Service Legislative and Governance Framework
• A valid driver’s license
• Strong analytical thinking and dispute resolution skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in computer literacy and financial management
