What You’ll Do
- Conduct legal research to inform the development and amendment of legislation.
- Analyse existing legislation to identify areas requiring updates or repeal.
- Draft primary and secondary legislation, including memoranda and reports.
- Prepare documentation for the presentation of Bills to Clusters and Parliament.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and effective governance.
- Facilitate discussions and presentations related to legislative matters.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF level 7 legal qualification or LLB Degree recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of five years of post-qualification experience in litigation or advisory roles.
- Admittance as an Attorney or Advocate.
- Strong background in legal research and legislative development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and the Criminal Justice System.
- Familiarity with Public Service Legislative and Governance Framework.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
