What You’ll Do

• Conduct legal research to inform the development and amendment of legislation.
• Analyse existing legislation to identify areas requiring updates or repeal.
• Draft primary and secondary legislation, including memoranda and reports.
• Prepare documentation for the presentation of Bills to Clusters and Parliament.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and effective governance.
• Facilitate discussions and presentations related to legislative matters.

What You’ll Need

• An NQF level 7 legal qualification or LLB Degree recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of five years of post-qualification experience in litigation or advisory roles.
• Admittance as an Attorney or Advocate.
• Strong background in legal research and legislative development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and the Criminal Justice System.
• Familiarity with Public Service Legislative and Governance Framework.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
